Fitness agenda: Stretch - walk/run - Yoga

Change up your exercise routine to engage differnet muscle groups, to practice well-being and to soak up the beautiful sunlight with working out outdoors.

Meeting point is at Princes Gate (Strachan and Lake Shore) where we start our event with a nice stretch and a short introduction. From there we will engage in mindful walking to warm up our bodies. Our exercise changes from walking to light jogging/running until we reach Bandshell Park. There we practice a standing yoga flow to connect body and mind. On the way back to Princes Gate we will jog and walk:

  • stretching & intro
  • mindful walking
  • jogging / running
  • standing Yoga flow
  • run / walk back

--> 1 hour workout

--> All fitness levels, ages are welcome

--> Four-legged friends are also welcome

Note:

  • BikeShare Station right across from Princes Gate
  • Parking across from Princes Gate or underground parking at Enercare Centre
  • Streetcar access # 509 / # 511
  • GO Train - Exhibition Station

Clear your mind, breathe fresh air and enjoy the beautiful weather while moving your body, strengthen your muscles and working on your cardio for a better and healthier lifestyle.

PS: Walking is a great way to improve or maintain your overall health. Just 30 minutes every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance.

Walking is also a form of meditation and can be used as part of a mindfulness practice. The technique has many possible benefits and may help you to feel more grounded, balanced, and serene. It also helps you to develop a different awareness of your surroundings, body, and thoughts.
